Who Will Provide the Service?
An audiologist with:

A master's degree in audiology and an undergraduate in Speech Language Pathology (six years university training) |

Certification with the Canadian and American Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists. |

Membership in both the Saskatchewan Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists and the Canadian Academy of Audiology |
What is an Audiologist?

Audiologists are the professionals dedicated to helping people with hearing problems. Audiologists conduct comprehensive diagnostic hearing assessments to determine the type and severity of hearing loss. |

Audiologists also conduct hearing aid evaluations leading to the proper fitting of hearing aids. In addition, our audiologists provide follow-up care for patients and family members to ensure success with their hearing aids. |
What is an Audiological Evaluation?

Pure Tone Audiometry consisting of air and bone conduction measurements

| | Immittance testing which assesses middle ear function, including membrane mobility, middle ear pressure, acoustic reflexes, and reflex decay |

Speech Audiometry, which assesses a patient's ability to discriminate and comprehend speech in both noise and quiet |
